What You’ll Bring

  • M.Sc. or Ph.D. degree in computer science or software engineering or comparable industry experience
  • Strong experience in cloud platforms, with a focus on AWS.
  • Knowledge of database design and implementation, with a willingness to take the lead in setting up both relational (SQL) and non-relational (NoSQL) databases, such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.

Your Role

We are looking for an ambitious, innovative and analytically sharp Data Scientist Intern/Junior to join our dynamic team. You will work closely with the founder to develop algorithms that for automatic detection of various sports movements and measurements of key metrics associated to those movements. You’ll play a key role in developing and implementing algorithms that will increase the insights we can bring to athletes and expand the scope of which athletes we can serve.

  • Algorithm Development: Work with our teams to design, modify, optimize and test algorithms to detect new movements and measure with high accuracy new metrics associated to those movements from IMU data.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze wearable device data to support algorithm development.
  • Algorithm Implementation: Implement your algorithms to build real-time prototypes of your algorithms using our existing frameworks.
  • Data Collection: Work with our existing data and collect new data from our partner athletes when necessary.
  • Visualization: Create user-friendly data visualizations to help athletes and coaches understand performance metrics and trends.
